Mark Denzer (Founder / Program Director) 



The creator and coordinator of the project, Mark has mentored youth and adults for over 15 years teaching native traditional living skills, Bushcraft and wilderness living. He spends his time learning native languages, history and songs, wild-crafting, studying and practicing primitive living skills and working with today’s young people. He has received training from SUWS, Soltreks, Touch of Nature, Wilderness Awareness School, BOSS inc., and has attended dozens of Primitive Living Skills Rendezvous.  In addition, Mark  has traveled  several years learning from Native American elders and Teachers who still live in a traditional life style. He has a master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation Management at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. 

Peter Greene ( Head Instructor/ Primitive Living Skills & Survival Specialist)



Peter has been interested in primitive living skills since age 14.  Mentors, Mark Denzer and Scott Ferguson introduced him to the world of ancient technologies and survival through there outings in southern Illinois.  In addition, Peter has completed several levels at Tom Browns Tracker School, which has further increased in knowledge and passion for these skills.  In his same time, he is constantly working on native crafts, weapons, and writing about life and nature observations.   Peter has spent the last several years exploring different schools and programs, their philosphies about teaching wilderness skills, which has helped him shape his own teaching style.  Peter recieved his degree from NorthLand College in Nature Resource Management.
